Discover the benefits of an Integrated Food Hygiene Management System
As well as compromising future business, hygiene failure is costly to both the producer and the retailer in terms of legal redress and brand reputation damage.

As such, many retail organisations now demand that their commercial relationships with suppliers are underpinned by documented proof of a systematic approach to hygiene regimes as an adjunct to standard legal requirements.

However, the Food Standards Agency estimate that up to 50 per cent of all food manufacturing facilities receive little, ineffective or no guidance, assistance or support in organising, documenting and management of their hygiene systems.

Selden Research is a member of the food and drink industry research organisation Campden BRI and has worked closely with this important establishment in the development of the IFHM (Integrated Food Hygiene Management) system.

As an integrated combination of cleaning products and easy-to-use online documentation and recording tools, IFHM dramatically reduces the time required to attain and maintain an audit-ready status while also providing a professional framework for you to build your hygiene approach around.

Additional technical support for IFHM is provided through Selden’s UKAS-accredited laboratory and knowledgeable sales advisors.

Crucially, IFHM is totally tailored to the needs of your facility and supported by carefully selected Selden product distributors who provide ongoing and frequent contact and support.

How IFHM works

IFHM supports not only the management of cleaning regimes within the food manufacturing and processing sectors but also implementation.

An online system with 24-hour access, IFHM provides all necessary documentation for your cleaning schedules. Staff training matrices cover both COSHH awareness and task method training and will quickly identify any gaps within the core competencies of your staff.

Getting started with IFHM

The IFHM package is delivered jointly by Selden staff and a carefully selected group of distribution partners - enabling us to effectively support you whatever your type or size of business or number or location of production facilities.

The initial step involves Selden staff working with you to identify and document each relevant cleaning zone, cleaning requirement, cleaning task and cleaning methodology within your facility.

The information is then securely stored online and matched to relevant product support information enabling you to file or produce, on-demand, a comprehensive range of documents, charts, notices, staff records, certificates and audit reports including:

IFHM supported Cleaning Products

Order what you need when you need it rather than being obliged to take large quantities of product. Deliveries are made by your most local Selden distributor providing benefits such as consistent availability, service flexibility and minimum order size freedom.

The IFHM product range is comprehensive without being confusing. Each product has been formulated to provide the best possible results at low, economical dilutions. We are aware that many companies operate with limited resources in terms of cleaning operatives as well as being required to fit cleaning schedules around production needs. As a result, all IFHM products are formulated to minimise required chemical contact times thus allowing hygiene regimes to be completed faster without compromising cleaning quality.
