Future Innovations in Food and Drink Packaging
Seminar Details Amidst pressure for sustainability and environmental concerns, over the last year the emphasis has moved from packaging waste reduction towards food waste reduction. With this in mind, it has been shown that by increasing the packaging that the food product can last longer and achieve the food waste requirement, either via better protection or by added barrier properties to increase shelf life. Chaired by Kevin Vyse, Vice Chairman of The Packaging Society and Founder of KBV Consultants, this debate will explore these issues and suggesting new ideas, particularly with new materials (including new fibre based materials which will be more plentiful), aims to ease the worries of the future. Help is available for those with no packaging function or depleted resources, as there will be exciting new facilities coming on stream in 2011 to help all. Speakers
